Athletic Administrators,
The WIAA is requesting that each school manage and update their MyWIAA account.  Upon your initial login to MyWIAA, you will be asked to do the following before you can access the standard features on MyWIAA:
  • Verify the sports/activities offered at your school
  • Update your list of current coaches and deactivate former coaches
  • Assign sports/activities and roles to each active coach
  • Update your school's directory information
Once the verification process is complete, you will be able to access your MyWIAA homepage. Detailed instructions can be found at the end of this e-mail. 

Reason for the Modification:
As highlighted in this year's Fall Workshops, this process is designed to assist with management of online coaching standards and online rules clinics, auto-population of accurate pass gate information, and the participation survey.

Who has access to the verification process?
Each school's athletic director and athletic secretary will have access to the verification system. In addition, school district athletic directors will have access to each school they are connected with. Please coordinate with administrators who have admin access to your school to make sure the appropriate person updates this information. Coaches will not have access to the verification system.

Will the questions appear every time I log in?
No, once one administrator completes the process the splash pages will not appear again.  However, if an administrator wants to make any edits, the verification pages can be accessed under "My Tasks" or "My Coaches."

How do combines/cooperatives work?
Upon logging into MyWIAA, a drop-down menu will appear with every school that has been approved by the WIAA as a combine/cooperative. If schools combine in every sport/activity, please only log into the combine name for that school and update those sports/activities and coaches.

If you combine in some activities, but not all of them, the administrator will need to log in as one school first, update the sports/activities that the school offers and then click 'Change to Different School' to select the combine school account, and then follow the same verification process for the combine school.  Administrators will need to coordinate who will be updating the information for each combine school.

The combine school directory listing needs to be updated since each combine has different mascots and school colors for their combines. 

Is this for the entire school year?
No, this process will be seasonal.  The WIAA will set up a similar verification process for the winter and spring seasons, respectively. Currently, administrators only need to verify for the fall season. 

Why are some winter activities listed?
Some schools have their cheer, dance/drill, and other coaches take the online rules clinics in the fall.  Since the system assists in managing the coaching standards, schools have the option of selecting those activities in the fall. 
Detailed Instructions:
  1. Go to MyWIAA
  2. Use your MyWIAA credentials to login
  3. Select a school (if applicable)
  4. Select the sports/activities that your school offers in the fall 
  5. Click on "save changes"
  6. Update your coaches database (three options; active, inactive, or no longer works at the school)
  7. Click on "save changes"
  8. Go through each sport/activity and assign every active coach to their respective sport/activity
  9. Click on "save changes"
  10. You will be redirected to the MyWIAA homepage, please logout and close your browser
