Dear Parents / Family / Whanau
As I write this introduction the weather is closing in and it reminds me that winter has well and truly arrived. As such our winter sports are well underway and I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff, parents, students and volunteers for their support of our winter codes. I love the fact that our senior students are giving back to our school through their coaching and managing of junior teams. I also appreciate the support provided by the adults in our community who willingly give up their time and energy to support our students as they compete in their various sports. Thank you for your contribution to this aspect of our college life.
In order to keep up to date with college news and events I encourage you to click on the facebook icon at the bottom of this newsletter and like our page.

All students and families who had their hard copy details checked and returned by the due date were in the draw for a $300 New World Voucher and for the student a double movie pass. Shown above are the winners Naomi Luckett and her son Angus Davis receiving their prizes.

We had a fantastic response by many students. This initiative ensures the school has up to date contact details for our families.

This year Mount Maunganui will perform in the Stage Challenge competition in Auckland at the ASB Theatre, Aotea Square on Friday 1 July. 107 of our students are busy designing, building and painting sets, rehearsing at lunch times, after school and on Sundays, making costumes, and preparing make-up. We would like to thank Brent from Mount Beach Decorators for supplying all of our paint and fire retardant. We would also like to thank all of the students, parents and teachers who provide the support for these students to excel on stage
