Welcome, Khalil! 

We're thrilled to welcome Khalil Ryan to GEC! Khalil is a recent graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before his time in university, he spent a semester studying abroad in the Bahamas, focusing on marine life research and environmental conservation.

Khalil joins the team as a Policy Analyst, who'll support our work in developing a global nuclear energy framework and articulating how the United States can equitably export advanced nuclear. 

Communicating Nuclear

Last month, RenewPR featured GEC Executive Director Jessica Lovering as part of its Common Sense Colloquy series. Jessica shared how GEC is working to get the nuclear industry to address the shortfalls in how nuclear energy has been sourced, communicated, and deployed. A Fusion Future?

GEC focuses primarily on advanced fission technology, but like the rest of the energy community, we’re following the news around recent steps forward for nuclear fusion. Jessica provided MIT Technology Review with a level-headed assessment of where the technology stands and what role it could theoretically play in providing another source of clean electricity in the future.
