Sustainable from Field to Bottle!

Biotta is continuing our commitment to sustainability!

We are in the process of installing a new heating system. By mid-2019, Biotta’s operations will be entirely powered by renewable energy, and by 2020 we will be carbon neutral!

With this new system, Biotta will save at least 2,000 tons of CO2 per year. This is equivalent to 880 transatlantic flights from Zurich to New York.

Earth Day is a good reminder about some of the other ways we are conscious of caring for the environment:

Selling in glass bottles, providing the best product protection and allowing for full retention of flavor, content and nutrients as well as recyclability

Using remains from juicing as organic animal feed

Printing labels on FSC-certified paper

Hosting five bee colonies (up to 300,000 bees) in our on-site bee hotel, supporting pollinators and plants
