Silver Beaver Awards

The Silver Beaver Award is given for distinguished service to youth within the area of a Boy Scout council.  It is the highest award that a council can give to a Scout leader. The Spirit of Adventure Council will be presenting Silver Beaver Awards to some of our great Scouters at the Council Annual Dinner on June 8th.

Please submit a Silver Beaver nomination for a Scouter from our council you believe has done a great job for youth. Please submit nominations to Darrin Johnson or to our Woburn office by April 30th.  You can attach letters of support to strengthen the nomination.

Adventure Kits

Dens and Packs are welcome and encouraged to use our Adventure Kits! At the Woburn office, we have kits designed for Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos adventure learning. Each contains tools and instructions for leading outdoor skills activities and different games.

Please call the office at 617-272-3527 and talk to Lindsey Dionne to take out and use our Adventure Kits! For more information, you can also call Angela Rzeszut at the Scout Shop at 781-937-4282.

Patrol Leaders' Council at Base Camp

Patrol leaders and youth leaders! Have your Patrol Leaders’ Council meeting at New England Base Camp in Milton. During our Open Saturday Programs we open our doors to the public and we are also opening our doors to youth leaders. We will have team building opportunities to build a stronger troop. We also have ready-to-use spaces with whiteboards and snacks waiting to help you brainstorm ideas for your adventures!

Contact Heather Sheehan to schedule your troop’s PLC meeting at Base Camp. Check out our Open Saturday programs.
