BLOG POST:  Pursuing the History of Our Nation: The Inaugural Hike of BSA’s Historic Minutemen’s Pursuit Trail

April 19th was the anniversary of "a shot heard around the world." Read William Cline's (Eagle Scout, Troop 11 Dorchester) blog post all about his experience hiking the NEW historic trail!

Boy Scout Camp Discounts with the Adventure Card

If you haven't purchased your Adventure Card yet, you still have the opportunity to do so before June 1st to receive the discount at summer camp. You’ll save over $80 by simply attending camp. Every Boy Scout in the council can buy the Card between now and June 1st online here.

All the cards from the families in your troop will be tabulated. When the troop registers for camp, the discounts will be applied to your troop’s bill. This will make things easier for your Scoutmaster and less expensive for you!

Once your son has his card in the mail, he can use it all year long to go ice climbing, rock climbing, swimming, canoeing or a host of other outdoor activities for him and his friends. We have two year-round locations - one just south of Boston in the Blue Hills, the other just over the Massachusetts border in Kingston New Hampshire. His discounts are also available for multiple weeks at camp, or to try a different camp within the network. Please check out all the opportunities that are available to him (and the whole family) as well as all the discounts at www.NewEnglandBaseCamp.org

Silver Beaver Awards

This is the last weekend to nominate #ScoutingVolunteers for a Silver Beaver Award.

The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 and is a council‐level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America.  Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. Fill out this form and bring it to our council office to nominate a Scouter.

Awards will be presented at the Annual Council Recognition Dinner on June 8th. Kindly submit nominations by April 30th.
