Dear <<First Name>>,

When you hear the term “Acts of God,” what do you immediately think of?  Most likely you think of disasters beyond your control such as hurricanes, storms, floods, lightening, etc.  The Truth is Acts of God are acts of Amazing grace and Compassion and for us to align with them, we must be willing To boldly go forth and Serve the sacred.

This month, we are exploring these four concepts to bring us into experiences of greater wholeness, freedom and happiness, despite whatever “disasters beyond our control” may be swirling around us.

Those who are called to serve God often wonder how they can best do that.  Of course, we serve God, the Sacred, by serving God’s creations – all of them.  Acts of service are Acts of God.

We close out this series with this affirmation:  I experience Acts of God’s Grace and Compassion as and through me as I boldly go forth to serve the sacred.
in loving service to the sacred,
Rev. Jude

Facts about Family Promise and their mission
As of 2020 there were 559 children in Martin County Schools that
were homeless. The number has gone up in the last 2 years due
to rent increases and little affordable housing.

Since beginning in 2018, Family Promise has assisted 228 Families.
In 2020 and 2021, COVID slowed down Family Promise's ability to help.

Family Promise in August 2022 has:

Sheltered 3 Families

Prevention of 6 Families  - Helped them before they became homeless

Diversion of 8 Families  - with government funding we provided rental
assistance,  landlord mediation and community- based approaches
that keep families’ houses

Stabilized 10 Families – by going through the program, Family Promise
has found them housing

HUMI with 9 Families  -  Federal grant program helps with first month rent,
last month's rent and security deposit
Almost Home with 2 Families – Two families are in our Transition homes

Legacy Program and
Brick Fundraiser

The loving generosity of many people over the years has ensured that our beloved spiritual home has always had the means to keep the lights on and the love flowing.

We invite you to continue this loving generosity by leaving a gift to Unity of Stuart in your estate plan. You can help ensure that our ministry continues to provide positive, practical spiritual teachings to help the next generation live healthy,
prosperous and meaningful lives.

You can give in many ways and as general support or for a specific purpose. In all instances, your gift will help lay a foundation of financial stability that will serve people who live after your lifetime—a legacy of love.

With deep appreciation for your support of Unity of Stuart and for helping to create a world where we
all know our divine nature and intrinsic worth.

Happy Birthday, You September Stars!

A big, happy birthday wish goes out to all you September babies celebrating this month! With one of your birth flowers being the aster (meaning “star”) it’s no wonder you fill the world with light!

Here are some September birthday fun facts for all of you
celebrating another trip around the sun:

  • This month of 30 days starts with summer and ends with fall.
  • The two zodiac signs of September are Virgo and Libra. Virgo is an Earth element that has the zodiac color gray and beige. It is represented by the goddess, which reflects the urge of Virgos to use their existence for the greater good and to bring justice to people. People with this zodiac sign tend to notice the smallest details.
  • Libra is an air element that has the colors of pink and green. It is represented by the scales, which makes perfect sense since “libra” is Latin for scales. You may also recognize the Libra’s scales as Lady Justice. (Libra is the only zodiac sign to be represented by a physical object. The 11 other zodiac signs use animals or mythological  creatures.)
  • The birthstone of September is sapphire which boasts a deep blue color.  Rather than the light blue we usually associate with the sky, this autumnal birthstone is closer in color to the night sky.

  • The birth flowers of September are asters and morning glory. Asters are a common wildflower. Similar in appearance to daisies, asters differ in that their center appears to be arranged in a star shape. Morning glories are most often found in blue and purple, they bloom in the morning and die by evening. They grow in vines and may also be called “creepers” as you may have seen their trailing vines adorning a trellis or fence.
  • You’re in good company with some very famous birthdays this month–Dr. Phil (9/1), Beyonce Knowles (9/4), Pippa Middleton (9/6), Adam Sandler (9/9), Michael Buble (9/9), Harry Connick (9/11), Niall Horan (9/13), Jimmy Fallon (9/19), Bruce Springsteen (9/23) and Will Smith (9/25)

Here’s hoping that your big day is just the beginning of a wonderful year to come!
