Round 12 saw the Blue U13 face Kalamunda. From the kick off the boys faced very little opposition and resisted the temptation to play individual rugby and instead practice the moves and drills we practice in training. The first try came from Neil, playing out of his regular position on the wing. The next try came off a won lineout with Ruiz storming up the wing fending off 7 players to score in the corner. The ball is moved beautifully through the backs on two occasions to give Leon two tries under the sticks. Caius is next up with another two breaking from maul and ruck respectively. Ed Jones having a great game, closes the first half with a try and start the second with a try, converting the later himself. Leon and Jacob work the ball back and forth to off step the defense for Jacob to score a great try. Christian is next to score rolling off a ruck, followed by Caius getting his hattrick for the day. Ruiz gets another try after 6 phases of possession. Ed scores and converts another try, with Caius not be undone taking his try haul to 4 and converting to his delight. Game finished 76-0, Man Of The Match was Ruvan Gouws for great lineout work and game play.
Under 17 Blue- 3 August
The game was scheduled at the UWA's ground with the Wallabies and the Wallaroos coming along to watch the mighty U17 Blues. As the game kicked off it was evident that the Blues were going to dominate this game with a flurry of tries in the first half, the team gelled well today and Kobi had his kicking boots on slotting many conversions over, many more tries in the second half finished the score of as 57 - 0 for the U17 Blues maintaining their top of the table lead.
Under 17 Blue - 10 August
Coming to the end of the season the local derby was scheduled for a Wanneroo kick off with the U17 blue team against the hosts Wanneroo, the blues were looking to increase their lead at the top of the table but did not come thinking that this was going to be a push over, as the game kicked off the blues looked to be firing well and it wasn't long before the first try was scored in the 8th minute, putting the blues in front 5 - 0, as the game progressed there was some great rugby from the blues with 3 tries in the first half going into the break with a comfortable lead of 19 - 0. It was evident that Wanneroo were not happy with the force of the blues and lots of penalties were going against them. So the blues did what they did best and punished them with several more tries, in fact by conclusion it was 8 tries to none with an impressive score of 50 - 0, both teams were very fired up and unfortunately both teams had infringements but Wanneroo succumbed to 2 yellow cards and then nearing the end the pressure was too much and an altercation broke out ending with a red for both the blues and Wanneroo. At the conclusion though both teams were entwined in a circle with both captains giving an encouraging talk about the game, like they say what goes on the field stays on the field.
