Junior Match Reports
Under 13 Blue

Round 8 saw the Blue team taking on the Associates.
Returning after weeks of sickness Vaughan Finnemore gets on the scoreboard first, after the ball was moved quickly through the back line. Tries quickly came from Ruiz, Ed, and Caius, with one conversion from Mitch. Soaks manage to get a quick score before half time. 22-5
Kick off sees a “power try” from Mitch scoring from our own 22 from a loose kick for touch from Soaks. Mitch converts, and almost immediately scores two more tries. Soaks get a converted try just before the final whistle. 39-12. Man Of The Match went to Whetu James.
Under 17 Blue

The U17 Blues were to kick off at Palmyra this week at 11:00 on a fresh but clear morning, the beautiful river setting was the hosts home ground. Palmyra took out the white teams week before so were playing confident but this didn't last long with the Blues making a few great tries in the first half although lots of mistakes from dropped ball didn't produce a crisp display. By the second half there was no fear of loosing the game although Palmyra fought to the end the final score was a very convincing 43 0.
