It's Local Restaurant Week!

Local Restaurant Week is once again making it ridiculously easy to enjoy Buffalo's culinary bounty. The semi-annual event shows off local chefs and restaurants, cultivates community, and encourages us to get out of our comfort zone to try a new dining experience—and support local businesses while doing so!

Learn more about Local Restaurant Week and discover which restaurants are offering special deals here.

The Nickel City Chef competition celebrated local culinary talent for more than a decade and helped make Buffalo a culinary tourism destination (beyond those delicious wings and 'weck that we're known for!)
Nickel City Chef: Buffalo's Finest Chefs and Ingredients tells the stories of the first three seasons of the competition, introduces you to the original Nickel City chefs as well as the chefs who challenged them, includes 36 of the recipes they invented on the spot using the secret, locally-sourced ingredient, and describes their inspiration. It also comes with Food for Change, a super cool brief documentary by Nate Peracciny that describes the birth of the farm-to-table scene and the critical role played by family farms in the WNY economy!

To celebrate Local Restaurant Week, Buffalo Heritage Press is offering an amazing deal on the book & DVD because we want every foodie in Buffalo to enjoy the creations of our finest chefs.

Next week...

is National Library Week! We'll be joining the American Library Association in this celebration of our public libraries, taking part in the conversation around this year's theme "Libraries = Strong Communities," and announcing a delightful new CrissCross AppleSauce children's book.

Stay tuned for the sneak peak!
