The New Love Center has been experiencing an increase in calls for emergency food recently. These people calling in who are in need of food are coming from similar and yet different places. I have heard from people on disabilities struggling to pay their bills with the increased cost of gas and food, I have heard from an immigrant family that just moved into the area that is in need of food, and we also got a call recently from a couple that were living out of a tent up in Pine Creek that were in need of help.
With the increase of prices for everything we all know that we are going to see a growing number of people in need of food and a growing need for food banks. And that is where I get excited. Imagining, what if we the people of The New Love Center can continue to make a real difference in the lives of people right now and for those families that are uncertain how they are going to get through the coming months. We can be the servants that Jesus wants us to be in our community and rise to the growing food insecurity in our area
And that is why I am excited to announce The New Love Center’s plan to add an additional distribution out of our Annex building. Over the next year we plan on adding more distributions to best reach the food needs in our community. Our additional distribution will be every 3rd Thursday of the Month from 12pm-7pm starting May 19th.
