Music Inspiration
Kinda like...  Steph's Concert Calendar meets Earth 911

Happy Spring, Everyone!

I can hardly believe it was seven years ago this month that I left Chicago radio to find new inspiration around the world, totally open to whatever came next. I was amazed by the manta rays of Mozambique, sunrise in the Himalayas, everything in Patagonia, the love of my family in Greece... but it seemed important to return home and invest my time and energy in making a lasting difference... and Bright Beat was born. In case I've never told you just what we do:

Bright Beat provides guidance and leadership in the development and management of environmental sustainability initiatives. We help community and business leaders and event and venue operators with environmental solutions that improve efficiency, conserve natural resources, educate end engage the public, and save money.

I enjoy proving that this is a feasible and preferable way to do business, and partnering with people who share this vision. I am also happy to be an eco (or GEEK-O) resource to my friends who put up with my peeking in garbage cans - this handy Sustainability Resources link is for all of you!

But of course, the Beat goes on...and live music will always be my passion.  So many great artists, shows, venues and festivals, they are a constant source of inspiration.  I am thrilled to help promote good music, and make production greener.  For those that like getting my low-fi Concert Calendar, you can expect a new one this week (finally!  I know...) and I promise to send updates more consistently.  Click

Thanks for playing!  ~steph
We are proud to report that MB Financial Park at Rosemont's "Green For A Reason" Program (created by Bright Beat) recently earned State and Federal awards, including the 2014 Illinois Governor's Sustainability Award Honorable Mention and the 2014 U.S. EPA Food Recovery Challenge Award.

OVER 440 TONS diverted from landfills in one year! Click here to read all about it.

Our annual pilgrimage to New Orleans Jazz Fest got a little funkier last year, when our friends' crawfish boil turned into a full-on music festival... plus a riverboat after-party for those wanting more! Tickets went on sale yesterday. Get yours HERE.
