Senator Forrester Presented with the 2015 NHHCA Friends of Seniors Award
On February 1, Senator Jeanie Forrester was presented with the 2015 New Hampshire Health Care Association (NHHCA) Friends of Seniors Award for her hard work fighting on the side of nursing homes last year as they faced the threat of losing millions of dollars in Medicaid reimbursements. Golden View's Administrator and CEO Jeanne Sanders (pictured left) presented the award to Senator Forrester (pictured right) in front of Golden View residents and members of the NHHCA.
Free Monthly Public Event Series Returns to Golden View's Assisted Living
Golden View Health Care Center is proud to announce the return of our free monthly special event series, which began last year. The 2016 Special Community Event Series at Golden View, sponsored by the Bank of New Hampshire Charitable Fund through the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, features educational and cultural programs regarding history, art, and agriculture with a focus on New Hampshire and the world beyond. All presentations are free and open to the public.

March 15, 2:30-3:30 pm: Local Civil War Lecture by Weirs Times history columnist Robert Hanaford Smith Sr.

April 6, 2:30-3:30 pm: “Yankee Ingenuity: Stories of Headstrong and Resourceful People” by Jo Radner

May 5, 2:30-3:30 pm: Introduction to the Road Scholar program by Jane Ramsay

June 21, 2:30-3:30 pm: Urban Landscapes by The Currier Museum of Art

July 12, 2:30-3:30 pm: Highlights of the Currier Collection by The Currier Museum of Art

August 16, 2:30-3:30 pm: Mount Washington: The Crown of New England by The Currier Museum of Art

November 3, 2:30-3:30 pm: Presentation about The Wright Museum of World War II by Mike Culver, Executive Director of the Wright Museum

All presentations are free and open to the public. Presentations will be held in The Terrace at Golden View unless otherwise noted.
