How on earth do you mentor someone?
People who accept leadership positions in research are often chosen on the basis of success in the core activities of research and education, and not always on demonstrable leadership and management skills. It seems that most people’s leadership skills are learnt on the job. Very rarely are research leads given any form of management training. One of the key skills to help cope with the increased stress levels that come with leadership is how to manage time effectively. 

Here are five strategies for successful time management for leaders in academia.



Wesley's Route Map
Wesley Loftie- Eaton has started his six month cycle ride through six African countries raising awareness of antibiotic resistance. He is visiting universities and research institutes along the way and is sharing his experiences with us via his blog.
