CHAI CHAT: Muslims in the Age of Artificial Intelligence | Thursday, October 28, 5 - 6 PM

Join us for a virtual Chai Chat with Dr. Abubakar Abid on Thursday, October 18th from 5 - 6 PM! Dr. Abid, an expert in machine learning and the coauthor of a recent study called Large language models associate Muslims with violence (2021), will be discussing anti-Muslim bias, Islamic values, and ethics in artificial intelligence.

What is residential life like for Muslim students on campus? As Stanford transitions to ResEx, the Markaz is conducting focus groups with Muslim-identifying undergraduate students at Stanford to better understand Muslim student experiences in residential spaces, ensure needs are being met, and identify areas for improvement in the overall Muslim residential experience at Stanford. Focus groups will take place at the Markaz and participants will receive a $15 gift card! RSVP:
