Happy Holidays From BarnRaisers!

Protecting Our Girls

Proceeds from our 2016 golf outing are being put to work fighting sexual exploitation and providing survivor support. Recently, board members Chris Tinder and Mike Sheek presented $15,000 to Purchased founder, Jessica Evans. To learn more, go to http://www.purchased.org/.

We will also donate $15,000 to Chaucie's Place to help them end child sexual abuse and youth suicide. To learn more about their important work and how you can help, go to http://chauciesplace.org/.

Recovering From a Hurricane

Thanks to the generosity of many donors - including proceeds from our 2016 golf outing and our bourbon/wine tasting event - BarnRaisers is supporting the construction of new orphanage cottages in Fondwa, Haiti.

The recent hurricane further damaged existing shelters and we look forward to having the new cottages completed soon. Members of our team traveled to Fondwa in November and more of us will be on site in early February.

Together, we're making life better for these orphaned kids and their caretakers. Thank you!

Spotlight on Pat Chittenden

Pat is a force for good and a friend of kids around the globe. Here's his story.

When Scott Rigney and I hatched the idea of BarnRasiers five year ago, we wanted to start something that would inspire others. There were so many quality charities out there doing good, but we weren’t specifically passionate about helping just one. We wanted to spread our wealth, time, and spirit to all of them.

We realized that we knew a lot of people and could raise money. We also had friends asking us to guide them on donating to good causes. They trusted us to determine those causes, so we started BarnRaisers to serve as a conduit to raise and donate money to good causes that helped children. Children locally and foreign need help, so we decided to help both.

BarnRaisers was designed to be a group of people coming together to help a cause. It's NOT exclusive. It's meant to be open for anyone who wants to help. And we've tried to have a very open door concept.

For all of these reasons, I am proud to say that I helped start this organization.
BarnRaisers says "THANKS" to all of our generous donors and sponsors. Your kindness is making a difference here at home and around the world.
