Electronic Flyer Distribution starting February of 2019
South St. Paul Public Schools is excited to announce that the district will now be using Peachjar, a digital flyer management system. Peachjar provides an innovative flyer management system that sends school-approved eflyers directly to parents’ inboxes and posts them on schools websites, making it easier than ever for parents to learn more about events, activities and programs offered to students. School Peachjar pages are also accessible via the Peachjar button on each school’s homepage.
This “green” initiative will save our schools tons of paper and reduce copy costs by thousands of dollars. On top of that, posting school flyers in this electronic backpack removes a significant administrative burden from teachers, office staff, and volunteers.

ABE Classes Available
This weeks starts the beginning of a new learning journey for 12 students in the TriDistrict Community Education’s Adult Basic Education (ABE) program.
First graders at Kaposia are currently exploring the IB PYP Unit of Inquiry: Who We Are. Students are inquiring what it means to make a choice, how the choices they make affect their health, and what it means to live a balanced life.
Ms. Erickson’s first grade class had the opportunity to tour the school cafeteria. Students got to meet the amazing staff who prepares their food everyday and learned about etiquette and manners in the cafeteria. Students were risk-takers as they tried different kinds of vegetables. Students also learned how to recycle and dispose of their food items.
A special thanks to Glen Ritter (director of nutrition services), Dorie Pavel (assistant director of nutrition services), Michelle Penman (head engineer) and Beth Cramer (community member/parent/chef) for sharing their time and expertise with our students.
