What's your passion? This is the question we're asking families this month in an attempt to help focus attention on the causes or issues that have personal relevance. We hope you'll join in and take action to support a cause important to you.
Bookings close soon for CASE Space Academy school holiday programs and your students will take a Live NASA Tour when they participate. Find out more below.
Make September your Month of Action!
We on planet Earth are facing many issues. Everywhere we look there is a cause calling for our attention or our action. It can be overwhelming. In our work with students, Actura and CASE ask teens to focus on their personal interests, discovering their talents and turning those talents into skills they can use to create change. We support them to find their passions and chart a course to achieve their goals.
This month, we ask you to consider one thing you can take action on, and do it.
Aware Week 2021
If you are passionate about the ocean you can participate in Dive Against Debris or one of the many other conservation activities organised by PADI in Aware Week 2021. Dive Against Debris is a citizen scientist program in which divers around the world collect ocean debris and log it on the Project Aware website to inform researchers of the debris issues facing the ocean.
September is Debris Month of Action and Aware Week is 18-26 September!
We are living in a climate emergency but it's important to remember we are not powerless against it if we take urgent action. Educating ourselves is one of the best ways individuals can take action and there are many ways our daily activities can have a positive impact. Image by wirestock - www.freepik.com
Girls are under-represented in STEM pathways and careers, but STEM professionals will continue to be in high demand and there are many reasons why girls and women need to be part of this future.
Teachers, schools and parents all play an important role in inspiring girls' interest in STEM careers and building confidence around STEM subjects.
The GiST (Girls in STEM Toolkit) is an excellent resource for students, teachers and families.
