Our May Updates

#RaiseTheFlag
Her Heart is proud to support the Global Heart Hub's 'Red Flag' heart failure campaign. Signs and symptoms can present differently in women, so make sure to read more about heart failure in women on the Her Heart Blog.

Women's Intuition
For heart disease, intuition can be our friend. Often, the first sign that something is not right might be that voice in our head telling us ‘I just don’t feel okay’. Learn how you can sharpen your intuition and help your heart health, on our Blog

Video Shoot
We recently shot our new video series, which shares real women's stories. They'll be coming out soon so keep an eye on our social media. Have you or someone you know experienced heart disease? Share your story with us here.

Article of the Month
A public hospital in Adelaide is tapping into 60,000 years of traditional medicine from Aboriginal healers — also known as Ngangkari — to help treat Indigenous patients. Read more here.

Ladies, Let's Chat!
There's something we're not discussing ... and it's important. This month we are launching our 'Let's Chat' campaign to encourage woman to talk about heart disease. We're asking women to chat to three friends and ask them to get a heart health check.

FAQs to a heart check
Earlier this May we celebrated Heart Week, with a focus on getting your heart checked. Don't know what happens in a heart health check? Find out more on the Her Heart Blog.
