Hello from our Founder

I hope you are all keeping well, I know many of us have experienced some tough times with (important) lockdowns and restrictions recently. Having said that, we’ve got some great reads this month to keep you occupied!

We shared an interesting article on our blog about Climate Change and the relationship to health. There’s increasing emphasis on what actions will allow us to preserve our planet, so it’s insightful and uplifting to hear how these might simultaneously benefit our health.

Its also National Stroke Week and we are #UnitedbyStroke. If you don't already know the F.A.C.E acronym, see below as its great for remembering the signs & symptoms. You may well save the life of a loved one.

Over on our Instagram and Facebook, we are challenging our followers to celebrate the 'small victories' - a reminder to be proud of the daily ‘trivial’ tasks that can allow us to reach our ultimate goals. 

Finally, as I often get asked what things that I do - in terms of looking after myself, keeping motivated - I thought that I might start sharing these with you. At the end of this month - I will be sending you a short email Update - called 5 minutes on a Friday! I hope that you find it of interest and I look forward to your feedback.

National Stroke Week 

More than 27,400 Australians had a stroke for the first time in 2020 - that’s one stroke every 19 minutes.

This week is National Stroke Week here in Australia. We are #UnitedByStroke, and through learning the signs of stroke and sharing them with your friends and family - you could save a life. More information on women and stroke on our website.

Climate Change Action & Our Health

The much-needed discussion surrounding climate change has brought to light some urgent steps for us to advocate for our planet. However, we don’t often discuss how these solutions can simultaneously improve our wellbeing. This article shares how three initiatives can also improve our wellbeing.
