Welcome Ayoade Adegbite to the TGRR network!

The TGRR team is proud to present our volunteer-focused spotlight article which places emphasis on an extraordinary volunteer and their efforts in supporting the TGRR network and its outreach.

Ayoade Adegbite is an academic staff member and Director of the Centre for Ecological Research and Bio-Risk Management at Ogun State College of Health Technology in Ilese–Ijebu, Nigeria. He engages and directs research activities on environmental and related health issues, including groundwater management. Adegbite holds a degree in Geology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and earned a masters in Water and Environmental Management from the Water, Engineering and Development Centre at Loughborough University, United Kingdom. He is currently pursuing his PhD by studying Peri-Urban Groundwater Management across Ogun and Lagos State communities in the Centre for Environmental Studies and Sustainable Development at Lagos State University in Ojo, Nigeria.

For over twenty years, Adegbite has been involved in field and laboratory activities for sustainable exploration and exploitation of groundwater resources and community service.
Adegbite has been a management committee member for the Metals and Related Substances in Drinking Water as the Africa Coordinator, and assisted in managing several Groundwater Management Groups between 2018-2020 by reporting group activities, enhancing communication, and overseeing daily operations. Currently, he is a member of the Water Security and Safety Management Group of International Water Association, which actively promotes sustainable water resources management. Adegbite interacts with and educates the public on groundwater management issues in order to collect data. His research involves creating household surveys, and Groundwater Database development with GIS software to create an online portal monitoring system of water quality in peri-urban areas of Lagos and Ogun States in Nigeria.

Join us on September 30th for a TGRR Annual Workshop Focused Collective Learning Meeting!

In collaboration with Worcester Polytechnic Institute, the TGRR network is pleased to announce that September's Collective Learning Meeting (CLM) will focus on summarizing, discussing, and reflecting on the TGRR Annual WorkshopParticipants do not need to attend the workshop to participate in this CLM, but it is highly encouraged in order to fully engage with other attendees.
This CLM will be held on Friday, September 30th, at 9:00 MT to 10:00 MT
