Did Spring break your spirit?

Heat things up in June!

Springtime 2021 was an odd one. With inclement weather and changes in our end-of-school traditions, it was difficult for many to get a handle on the season. But summer is upon us and there's so much to be excited about. Vermilion Parish is kicking things off festival season early this year with the Daylily Festival, and school is out so your business has the chance to heat things back up and build some momentum.

How can you make the most of it all?

SUMMERize your business - switch over your marketing to summer-related themes. Engage with your customers (and attract new ones) by showing off your "hottest" stock or refreshed services that are perfect for the summer months.

Get in the HOLIDAY spirit - If you missed Memorial Day, don’t sweat it. Just be sure to double your efforts for the 4th of July and Labor Day. Find great deals you can offer to your customers on these holidays and create digital and physical marketing pieces that scream celebration.

Share a special TREAT - Now that COVID restrictions are loosening, find a way to get your customers gathered for food and entertainment (not to mention a nice tax write off). You can have a giveaway or contest to sweeten the pot.

Emerging Business Leadership Program

Successful SEBD Roundtables provide peer learning for small businesses seeking next level
Recruitment will be ending soon for Louisiana Economic Development’s SEBD Roundtables. Beginning in July and August, the innovative peer-to-peer learning program will convene groups of 12 to 15 business leaders for a yearlong experience of collaborative learning and problem solving.

Business owners taking part in Louisiana’s Small and Emerging Business Development Program are eligible to apply (we can help).

Business owners taking part in the SEBD Roundtables meet 10 times throughout the year to share best practices, solve business challenges and discover solutions in a supportive environment.

SEBD Roundtables are based on the PeerSpectives™ Roundtable System developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation and considered a nationwide best practice. SEBD intermediaries – who deliver technical and managerial assistance through the LED program – are certified to ensure a consistent experience.
