SCOPE NEW YORK 2017 DRAWS CROWDS IN CHELSEA LOCATION

SCOPE Art Show’s flagship fair celebrated its 17th edition in its new Chelsea venue, welcoming record-breaking crowds. Featuring 59 galleries from 23 countries and 45 cities, SCOPE New York’s contemporary program continues its legacy of discovery.

The subject of numerous press features, SCOPE New York 2017 was warmly received by Artnet, Whitewall, Huffington Post, Widewalls, New York Magazine, Aesthetica Magazine and VICE, who hailed SCOPE New York’s “diversity that makes the show so special”. 

Galleries reported strong sales to notable private collections over the course of four dynamic exhibition days. Exhibitor Adam Adelson offered praise for the show, “We were impressed by the sophistication of the crowd - attendees were knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and eager to collect.”

Amongst its well-heeled attendees, SCOPE New York welcomed a variety of museums and cultural institutions, including Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, The Contemporary Art Museum of St. Louis, Arttable, The Folk Art Museum, The Bronx Museum, The International Center of Photography, BRIC, Storm King Art Center, The Rubin Museum of Art, and El Museo del Barrio.

SCOPE New York was pleased to once again partner with Tao Group to present its Official Party at LAVO. Featured in artnet as one of the week’s “Most Exclusive Parties,” New York’s cultural elite enjoyed cocktails from longtime partner Ilegal Mezcal, with DJs Mike Deuce and Nick Hook, courtesy of Fool’s Gold Records.

Continuing its critically acclaimed partnership with GILT, SCOPE New York concludes its 2017 edition by curating a limited-time offering of artworks from Buff Monster on Gilt.com.

SCOPE Art Show will return in June for its 11th edition in Basel, Switzerland, where it will welcome 70 international galleries at its location, just steps from the Messe. SCOPE Basel will open on Tuesday, June 13th and run through Sunday, June 18th. To apply, please visit scope-art.com/apply.

SCOPE BASEL RETURNS TO LOCATION JUST THREE BLOCKS FROM MESSEPLATZ

Celebrating its 11th Anniversary in Basel, SCOPE Art Show is delighted to return its location, just three blocks from Messeplatz. SCOPE | Haus, previously named Clarahuus, secures SCOPE Art Show's future in Basel as a long term investment in the City's rich culture. A brief walk from Art Basel, SCOPE Basel offers guests a view of the contemporary art world available nowhere else.

SCOPE Basel will welcome 70 International Exhibitors alongside 10 Breeder Program galleries.

SCOPE Basel opens with its Platinum First View on Tuesday, June 13, 10pm-1pm; followed by the VIP and Press Preview 1pm-4pm, and Public Opening 4pm-7pm. The fair will run through June 18th; 11am-8pm Wednesday - Saturday, 11am-6pm Sunday.
