ICO News 3/17

We know that a lot of you are already in Slovenia for this years first ICO 1000 points tournament, the ICO Speedminton Slovenian Open 2017.
We want to give you a heads up about the General Assembly 2017 and some other relevant news and information.

ICO Speedminton Slovenian Open

This years Slovenian Open have a record breaking number of 250 registrations in singles and doubles together. This is the biggest draw even see in a season opener in Crossminton history.
Jasmina Keber will make her first tournament apperiance after her baby break. Lets see if she can still dominate the field or if she gets some serious competition this time.
The Open category will host 4 or the top 5 ranked players. Will World Nr.1 Soehnke Kaatz be able to proof his Nr.1 status or will one of the other top 5 players (Patrick, Dasen or Melker) take this years title?
Good luck to all the players and also thanks the organizers for hosting the event!

We have created a new license for juniors (under 18) and new players (never had an ICO license before). Both can get a full license for 10 Euro (instead of 20 Euro for the regular license). Eligible athletes who already have bought a 2017 license can claim a refund via mail to franke@crossminton.org.

Grow our sport and organization:
We have decided to roll out 3 ICO projects committed to grow our sport on a national and club stage level.
Project ONE will support groups who are willing to found a club with an ICO Speedminton Starter kit.
Project TWO will help existing clubs to grow their membership base.
Project THREE will support clubs in developing a junior devision within their clubs.
We will send out more detailed information regarding those projects in the upcoming days.
If your club is interested in participating in one of them, please send a mail to lewicki@crossminton.org.
