Happy January!

Phew- another year rolls in and I hope you're as excited for all the possibilities it can bring as I am. I know it's just a change in date but the new year always fills me with excitement (maybe it's because it's another day closer to summer and some sunshine - I need all that vitamin D to keep me beading!)

December was a fabulous month with the Secret Christmas Beadalong happening and you can see all the wonderful photos which were posted on the Facebook page here.
I am of course already planning next year's as well as a potential beadalong for the Summer again so fingers crossed my inspiration works...

As always I have lots of exciting classes and trips planned for the year with 1 set of masterclasses and 2 international retreats scheduled as well as 30+ other classes around the UK, Europe and the USA. You can see them all sorted by venue here.

In addition I have lots of new patterns & kits scheduled to launch over the coming year (and some new enamel pins for those of you who requested some different ones...) so keep an eye on these newsletters to find out all about them.

One very exciting development (for me at least) is the launch of a brand new, completely redesigned, website which will launch over the next couple of days.
Mr Jean Power has been working very hard behind the scenes and putting up with all my demands to create a new website which should be even easier to navigate (especially if you're on a tablet or phone) and will allow you to more easily search for kits & patterns by stitch, level, style etc

To get the year started today I'm launching a brand new pattern, a sister design to my Icos Series,  and to accompany it I have managed to be able to lower all the prices of my suitable crystals and stones and they are now available to buy in packs of 8 here or 20 here.

So until next month, when my teaching will start up again and I'll begin my travels, best wishes and happy beading

p.s. In between newsletters you can always see what I'm up to on my Instagram or Facebook page

Flower Pin set

For a few years now I have been playing with designing some enamel pins and of course had to relate them back to beading!
Launching today is this set of gold-plated, hand-coloured enamel pins, which were specially designed by me so that us beaders could have a colourful and fun way to play with our beadwork and create interchangeable brooches/ pins.

The idea is that you create your own unique beadwork which can be worn behind the pins and then removed, swapped or added to whenever you want a change.
Each set comes with 3 pins which depict the centres of flowers (a Poppy, a Daisy and a Morning Glory) along with the instructions for all the beadwork shown. But you can play with any petal style or beadwork you want and make what you wear truly unique. The pins even look great worn by themselves!

Included, when you purchase:

  • 3 hand-coloured hard enamel gold-plated pins (each pin is packed separately on its own backing card and in its own bag so you can split the set if wanted)
  • 2 backs for each pin - a deluxe safety back and a plastic back so you can use your favourite or more easily play with layering beadwork
  • Digital instructions to make the matching petals
  • A jewellery box to store the pins and beadwork in
  • Signed & tracked postage World-wide (just in case these are a Christmas present and may not arrive in time you will be able to instantly download a 'gift certificate' which you can present)

You can buy your pins here for £34 including postage World-wide.

Launched in November

Christmas Star Pattern

This striking beaded Star mixes geometric beadwork with different shaped and sized beads for a unique ornament.
The design is versatile and it can be beaded with, or without, an integral hanging hole as desired.

Knowledge of how to bead my Advanced Stars is needed (how to bead a hanging hole and a new method of beginning a Star) and the Christmas Star pattern can be purchased here for £10 but don't forget you can use the discount code below.
