This is a reminder message in the case that you have not yet completed the below steps to register for the new, required Optum Portal. We have added some notes to section 2 listed below. We have also uploaded some additional documents, such as eLearning access and Webinar PC specifications, to www.edgemed.com/optum. Dear edgeMED Practice Partner,
We are excited to announce the availability of the new Optum clearinghouse portal! With the release of the new portal, edgeMED customers will gain new and improved future and time-saving functionality. All Optum users are REQUIRED to update to this new platform. There is no additional cost to the update. Plus, the great news is that it is super simple! To use the new Optum portal, there is nothing for you to install and we will walk you through the entire process.
Your attendance is requested for a group webinar that we are holding in conjunction with Optum on Wednesday, August 17th at 12pm EST. This webinar will be a training session on the new Optum clearinghouse platform so please be sure to have your relevant billing staff take part. We will also cover additional questions and action items.
So, here’s what you need to do…..
1. Prior to August 15th, you will need to register online for a new Optum User ID. This is not your medical practice Optum account ID, but rather each individual staff Optum User ID you utilize to login to the Optum portal. NOTE: Any user in your office that needs access to the Optum portal should register for an Optum User ID. We have included a Registration document outlining the specific details and steps you must take.

2. Once you have registered and received your Optum User ID(s), please send an email to Angie Sharitz at asharitz@edgeMED.com with the following:
- Your Practice/Company Name
- Existing Optum ID (ZFM#)
- Names of your Users and their NEW Optum ID's
