THE NON-PROFIT HOUR TUESDAY AT 1PM WITH NINETY-NINE GIRLFRIENDS & GOLDEN!
In this week's new episode of our radio show, The Non-Profit Hour, we'll learn about two organizations that help people find the most impactful way to volunteer and donate. First we will speak with Ninety-nine Girlfriends, a group of women from Oregon and Southwest Washington who utilize collective giving to provide a $100,000 grant each year to a local non-profit. Then we will learn about Golden, a new app that connects volunteers to meaningful work and allows non-profits to easily manage their volunteer activities. Tune in at 1pm tomorrow on XRAY.FM!

THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RADIO U AND THE SUMMER DOCUMENTARY PROGRAM!
Wow! March was a busy month for the Media Institute for Social Change. And April is too! We received more applications than ever for our two educational programs, Radio U and the Summer Documentary Program. Thanks to everyone who submitted an application, provided a recommendation, forwarded an opportunity to a friend, and to all the inspiring media professionals in Portland who share your work with aspiring makers in our classroom. We are so excited to see what stories with are produced this year, in a time where compassionate and thoughtful stories of social change are important as ever.
DO YOU LIVE IN PORTLAND AND HAVE A ROOM TO SPARE? HOST A STUDENT JUNE 28 - AUGUST 10
We're currently seeking friendly Portlanders to host our students during the Summer Documentary Program. MISC hopes to create the best opportunities for our students by introducing them to inspiring community members, teaching them important production and storytelling tools, and asking them to create their own documentaries about social change. Home stays are one way to help make the program affordable, but are also a unique chance for students to be a part of Portland and meet some amazing Portlanders along the way. If you think your household would make a good home stay, or you would like to learn more about hosting a student, please email rose@mediamakingchange.org
