Watch your total job cost on your JRTs

The SMUD HPP Program’s success, and future customer interest is based on accurate reporting by the contractors on the cost of the project.  We have noticed that some job costs are being reported that include non-SMUD measures, like solar and windows that do not qualify for the program. Please be sure your cost on the JRT only reflects the cost of the HPP oriented measures, and not the total job cost if other non - HPP upgrades are done.

SMUD website changing Participating Contractor listing protocol

The SMUD website is undergoing changes and one of those changes will be that the jobs performed by each participating contractor listed will change from a color-coded range of jobs year-to-date to a wider range jobs performed year-to-date.  Click here to see the changes for the SMUD HPP Participating Contractor list.

Finishing your active jobs in 2017

As we wind down the 2017 SMUD HPP year,  we want to take this time to thank you for your great work on behalf of the program and encourage you to submit all current jobs, complete with all supporting documents, by 5 PM on Tuesday, December 19th for your final chance to have those jobs processed for rebate in 2017.  We need all the jobs we can get to finish up the year. The continuation of the program depends on the number of customers participating, and 2017 fell short of our forecast by 400 homes compared to 2016. If you need assistance with your final submissions before the 19th, please contact Stacy Drake

Changing of the guard

Hello Contractors, - after 33 years of service with SMUD, it is time for me to move on to new endeavors.  For the last 8 years, it has been a pleasure working with you all to develop a program that improved so many homes in a holistic manner.  I want to wish you all the best and future success.  My replacement will be Mike Corbett.  Mike brings a wealth of experience in developing and delivering customer facing utility programs, and sound practical knowledge of Home Performance principles and practices.   To contact Mike: Michael.corbett@smud.org,  916-732-6798.
                                                                                     Jim Mills

Have a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous new year.
