The awards provide faculty with support and funding for implementing Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), a flexible pedagogical approach to global education.

“I would hate to go back to teaching Latin American Studies 101 without having the opportunity to COIL. It just seems like a great chance to bring students together across the continents.” - Florence Babb, Harrington Distinguished Professor in the Department of Anthropology

The next deadline for new COIL courses is April 3 for summer 2023, fall 2023 and spring 2024 courses.
