The PiP Impact!

During lockdown PiP is still here for our students and families. We continue to keep in touch with all of our students and are running a packed timetable to continue supporting our students to combat social isolation and gain independence.

We're thrilled to share with you our brand new impact video. Watch now to see what we've been up to!

We're delighted to announce that our new Chief Executive, Denise Largin, will be joining us from the 7th July.

Denise joins PiP with a wealth of leadership experience from the learning disability sector with over 25 years experience as Chief Executive of the sector-leading Camden Society. She also, most recently, was the Chief Executive of Unity Works which is an organisation which specialises in supporting people with a learning disability to gain skills, achieve qualifications and secure jobs, so they can reach their full potential. So a great fit with our mission at PiP! Denise was responsible for creating exciting social enterprises for people with learning disabilities and autism across London and we are thrilled that Denise can bring this expertise in creating enterprises and jobs with her.

We'll hear more from Denise next month with her first thoughts on joining PiP during lockdown!

Celebrating Learning Disability Week!

Monday 15th - Sunday 21st June 2020

The theme of this year's Learning Disability Week was the 'importance of friendship under lockdown', highlighting the staggering statistics of the loneliness felt by young people and adults with learning disabilities.

To connect new and existing PiP friends, we hosted a series of Cuppa and Conversation events over the week. Taking place over Zoom, we discussed a range of topics that are important to our students such as advocacy, being creative and employment. Our Cuppa and Conversation series was hosted in partnership with our very own Fruitful project and our wonderful partners Happily, The Advocacy Project and Heart n Soul.

Find out more in our highlights video!

From everyone at PiP we want to send a big thank you to all of our funders for their continued support during lockdown.
