Our block of Elm Street has seen better days, so we're excited to see it getting redone this spring. Elm Street may be intermittently blocked off during construction, but the parking lot on the corner of Chestnut and Pine is open for library parking.

From the
city website: "Elm Street between Pine and Furnace Streets is scheduled for reconstruction in 2017.  It will be done in 2 phases.  The portion between Pine and Main Streets will be done first from early spring until late May or early June.  The other portion from Main Street to Furnace Street will be done from June to September."
We will be closed for a half day on Thursday, May 4 for staff training. We'll be closed 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, and we'll reopen for our regular hours from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Half Price Fines Day
Monday, April 10
9:00 am - 8:00 pm

It's Patron Appreciation Day at the Platteville Public Library, and we're offering 50% off all fines. If you come to the library and pay half of the balance on your account we will forgive the other half. This is applicable to fines on Platteville Public Library items and does include fines for lost or damaged items.
Patron Appreciation Day
Monday, April 10
9:00 am - 8:00 pm

Even if you don't have fines that need waiving (or maybe especially if you don't have fines that need waiving), we appreciate you! Our work would be pointless and non-existent without our patrons. Stop in Monday to enjoy treats and coffee.
