2016 Changes to the NPFMC and the IPHC
On June 27, the U.S. Secretary of Commerce officially announced the appointment of Theresa Peterson and Buck Laukitis to the North Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council), effective August 11, 2016.  The two replace Duncan Fields, ending his third three-year term, and David Long, ending his one three-year term.  Both new Council members are coastal Alaskans who support small-boat fishermen and have a background in conservation work.
