ENCOUNTER TEEN WINTER CAMPS Sometimes people are surprised when I tell them that January is a very busy month for us. At Monadnock it has been that way for over 50 years because Winter Teen Camps is one of our very first programs .
This winter will be no different as we will have over 2200 students and youth leaders from youth groups and Christian schools all over New England visiting our 211 acres. In fact, the demand has been so good we are actually adding an extra weekend in March.
Our theme for the winter, "Hello, my name is...," deals with our identity in Christ which we believe is a very important topic and subject for today's teens. Please pray for our staff, volunteers and all the young people who will be attending. We have already seen around 100 kids give their lives to Christ.
Our after school program continues to grow. We are now over 50 students strong. We recently launched "Clubs" which allow the kids to choose different activities such as: comic book club, cooking club, writing club, music club, painting miniatures club, Lego club and so much more. The kids seem to love it. Students from Franklin Pierce University are now helping us out each week by supervising student activities, clubs and homework help. Please be very prayerful for this program as we have many who do not know Christ visiting our camp as well as participating in it or helping us in some way. We are extremely pleased with how God has given us favor in our community through this program.
Our swimming pool has been closed since the beginning of December. What was initially only going to take a few weeks to drain, paint and re-fill the pool turned into some costly repairs and challenges. This required new drainage. We have had one obstacle after another but as of today, the pool is back up and running. Our maintenance staff has done an amazing job. (check out the photos below)
We have been swamped with tons of emergency repairs: water heaters, broken pipes, vehicles, and so much more. We have also been re-painting the interior of Carlson; built a new group game called "9 Square;" along with many other daily and routine maintenance of buildings and vehicles.
PUT YOUR LOVE IN MOTION
Our "Put Your Love In Motion" initiative is in full swing as we are donating $2 of every registration towards our efforts in Haiti. These efforts have already been essential as Love In Motion has had to replace its main vehicle in Haiti.

If you are ever looking for a speaker, I would love to come and share about all the amazing things going on here at camp during mission moments or updates. I am also available to preach or speak to your youth or congregation. I would appreciate prayers as I will be teaching and preaching in April in MA at a parenting conference.
This and so much more is going on here at camp. Thanks for being a part of our extended family.
