11 Encounter Snow Camp weekends, 2270 students attended, and 9,009 cups of hot cocoa were consumed. And all while we worked hard to implant the identity of Christ into the hearts of our teens. We even added an extra weekend in March to meet demand, and were blessed by some beautiful late-season snow!
For 20 of those students, their journey will continue this July in the country of Haiti, through an intensive discipleship experience serving those in need. Please pray for these teens, not only for their individual fundraising efforts, but for spiritual support as they face challenges before, during, and after this trip. The trip is led by our Jason George (one of our Encounter speakers), Natasha Ferro, Paul Deasy and myself.
Also be in prayer for us at MBC, as we make changes to the administrative portions of our ministry. We need to restructure to meet the changing federal regulations regarding camps and non-profits to continue our compliance with the legal requirements and position the ministry for continued success for the next 50 years.
So you may see some changes in how we record information or categorize programs. What won't change a bit is our commitment to excellent programming, service, and our mission to equip you for a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. We appreciate your prayers as we do the hard work to clear the legal hurdles.
We can't wait to see your faces this spring as we move into our adult and family season. We've had a couple of cancellations for this weekend's Marriage Retreat - so don't be shy if you know a couple that could use a last-minute weekend of refreshment!
