“Advancing Racial Equity: Expanding Knowledge and Organizing for Actions”

Please join your colleagues, friends and neighbors at the Advancing Racial Equity Speaker Series. The topic will be “Advancing Racial Equity: Expanding Knowledge and Organizing for Actions”.
The event will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and the program will be from 6:30 to 7:45 pm. You will be able to explore the “Race: Are We So Different?” exhibit before and after the program, and light refreshments will be available.
The program will feature:
- Joanne Jones-Rizzi, Director of Community Engagement at the Science Museum of Minnesota
- Diana Falchuk, Deputy Director of the City of Seattle Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJI) and project manager of an organizing effort in Seattle that used the “Race: Are We So Different?” exhibit to educate and organize actions to advance racial equity in Seattle, and
- Benita Horn, a community leader in Seattle who worked with Diana and RSJI to train over a hundred facilitators to work with a broad swath of organizations to visit the exhibit, participate in facilitated dialogues and make commitments to take action.
