In appreciation of your --current and past-- support of Slow Food, we the leadership team of Slow Food South Bay are hosting a Holiday Dinner for you.
We have met some of you and we look forward to having time with you again. However, some of you we only recognize your name, and, well, we'd like to meet you. Please come to our annual holiday dinner this coming Thursday evening, December 7th in Cupertino.
This is an opportunity to meet other members, and enjoy good food and drink.
As this is a Holiday event, proper cheer and attire are requested, and it's optional to bring your favorite SLOW dish, fruit or drink to share.
Our hostess and one of our SFSB Leaders, Joni Sare, has graciously offered her spacious home. Come early if you wish to have time in her ‘teaching’ kitchen to be with others and/or to create your masterpiece amongst kindred folks.
Others are welcome, too --invite your friends, favorite chef, grocer, farmer, baker, gardener, mom, grandma, bee-keeper and green-thumb gardener. The more, the merrier.
Please contact Joni Sare at:
Some of the festivities will include:
Thank you again for your support of our work toward good, clean, fair food for all. Our dollars are working on making our world the world we want to see. Major projects are: Terra Madre, Slow Food Nations, Ark of Taste and the new-to-the-states Chef’s Alliance. If you aren’t familiar with these projects, that’s just another reason to join us this Thursday evening!
- a "Terra Madre 2016" review in preparation for the upcoming 2018 conference (in Turin, Italy).
- Wine education from the folks at Foot of the Bed Cellars.
- Singing with Scott and the piano at the fireplace.
- ...and other SLOW shenanigans are sure to happen!
We would absolutely LOVE for you to join us at our table.
