Information about the Exhibiting Artists
BILL JACKSON has exhibited his work on both the West and East coasts of the United States. In the past seven years he has had ten solo shows. His work has been in numerous juried exhibits and has received first place awards in many photography competitions.
For some time, Bill has been creating images that provide visual journeys into dreams, other realities and parallel universes. When creating images he attempts to leave room for interpretation. Introducing a sense of mystery, so that each viewer may find meaning in the images that are uniquely theirs.
He appreciates being offered the opportunity to photograph a dress rehearsal of the Nutcracker and is pleased to show his work at the Peninsula Ballet Theatre.
LANCE HUNTLEY is a Berkeley trained biochemist who switched careers by leaving a 30 year adventure in biotech startups to go to acting school. He found two things to be true: the analytical skills of a scientist proved invaluable in preparing for roles in plays and that creative souls, be they right brained or left brained, have more in common with each other than they oft times realize.
Lance entered the dance world in a sideways fashion; he was performing as a butler at Hillbarn Theater when Peninsula Ballet pegged him to play the butler role in Nutcracker. This was about the time he began taking an interest in serious photography and he began to chronicle the second act of Nutcracker until he reached the point that he was more valuable behind the lens than in front of it. He now specializes in low-light stop-action production photography for many local dance and theatre companies.
