Welcome to the Reproducibility Working Group.

Thank you for signing up to be part of the Reproducibility Working Group of the Open Reflectometry Standards Organisation.

Following the great meeting earlier in the year, we have put together a series of “issues” that should be tackled by the Working Group, these can be found on our Github page. We are actively looking for members to become involved in these issues and help to build the ORSO community. Please feel free to comment on any issue that you would like to tackle (or start to tackle) and we will assign this issue to you and you can get started!

The other order of business is to set up a Working Group meeting. The current plan is for each working group to meet in September, catch up and plan the next steps. I have put together a Doodle Poll, so please fill it in with your availability and I will set a date.

The final order of business is finding a co-chair for the Working Group, the motivation for this is to (i) lighten the load on myself a bit, and (ii) so that the chairs total 8 to ensure broad representation and stabilise the broader governance structure of ORSO. If you are interested in getting involved as a co-chair, please nominate yourself (drop me an email andrew.mccluskey@diamond.ac.uk) and if there are multiple nominations we will have a vote.

That’s everything, for now, please get involved as much as you can!

Thanks
Andrew McCluskey
