Surging Opioid Crisis in Ohio
October 27, 2015

New Frontier on the Hill
Yesterday, New Frontier held its first Capitol Hill Reception where we met with members of Congress, as well as their staffers. We spoke with lawmakers about their concerns surrounding the cannabis industry and informed them on how Big Data can be utilized to better inform their legislation. Director of Industry Analytics John Kagia and Chief Technology Officer Glenn Harless went over the benefits of our data platform, equio, with Congressional staffers.
New Frontier has partnered with Standford University's Jill Eicher, Director of the Pension Infrastructure Collaborative at Standford University's Global Projects Center. Together we are working to better understand data in the cannabis space. Look forward to that report at the beginning of 2016!

Ohio: Forging a New Path to Marijuana Legalization
Key Implications and Potential Outcomes of ResponsibleOhio’s Approach to Marijuana Legalization

New Frontier has released its next Analyst Report, which takes a look at ResponsibleOhio's plan to fully legalize cannabis in the Buckeye State.

New Frontier forecasts that Ohio’s legal marijuana retail sales if approved on the ballot this November under Issue 3, will be significantly lower than ResponsibleOhio’s forecast. New Frontier assessed the current plan and projects revenues to be $1.88 billion by 2020, approximately half a billion less than currently estimated.
Despite the difference in projections, the bigger issue is whether legalization can even get off the ground due to the regulatory and legal challenges that lie ahead.
