EAHAD 2017 Update
EAHAD 2017: Just 2 months away!

2017 marks EAHAD's 10th anniversary and we will celebrate this milestone in Paris at the EAHAD Congress taking place from 1-3 February.

Congress President, Dr Roseline d'Oiron from the Centre for Haemophilia and Rare Congenital Bleeding Disorders at Bicêtre Hospital in Paris, has prepared an engaging and thought-provoking programme, which will include sessions on immunology and gene therapy in haemophilia, factor X deficiency, and pain management. The schedule will also feature some of the same new elements introduced this year in Malmö: morning case discussions and a SLAM session with oral presentations of the top abstracts submitted. We hope you will join us in Paris and look forward to welcoming you!

Pre-Congress Day for Nurses and Physiotherapists: 31 January 2017

This year for the first time a Pre-Congress Day for Nurses and Physiotherapists is being organised one day before the start of the Congress. The full-day meeting will feature a combined morning session focused on the specific competencies of nurses and physiotherapists and interactions among all members of the haemophilia treatment centre team. The afternoon programme will consist of separate sessions for nurses and physios with case-based and interactive discussions. The day will conclude with a Networking Reception to bring everyone together again.

The emphasis of the Pre-Congress day is not only educational, but also to create a forum for the sharing of expertise and the development of collaborative research activities. There will be simultaneous interpretation in French and English to encourage participation and interaction with health professional from the host country. In the spirit of collaborative care, there will also be a few places available for interested physicians.
