Hi <<First Name>>,

Happy New Year! We hope you’re off to a grand start. Wishing you all a happy and healthy year ahead!

We had a full house at our 2019 intention setting yoga and meditation class! Thanks to our teacher Joelle and yogis of all experience levels: Dave, Kathy, Marna, Ellie, Hiro, Debra and Jen for making this community event a wonderful experience! See how we transformed the office below.

Joelle will be back to host another yoga class on Groundhog’s day 2/2/19 from 7pm-8:15pm, please email us to reserve your spot. We have other ideas in the works for our Saturday night community events. Self care class for upper and lower body, skin care, knitting, arts/crafts and more! Sophia and I would also like to hear from those of you interested in our couples massage class. We know scheduling can be tricky, so if you are interested in this class, please drop us a line to let us know which Saturday nights in February, March or April are good for you and we’ll attempt to schedule the class when we know you can make it.
Health Tips

The importance of focused breathing keeps popping up these days. So many breathing exercises require 10-20 minutes of precious time, along with funky hand positions or large arm movements that can’t really be done in public. Here’s an easy one that can be done anywhere demonstrated by Dr. Weil. It’s called 4 7 8 breathing. It’s great! Check it out here.

Podcasts are my friends :) I was very happy to hear Doctor Chatterjee’s solution for his patients who didn’t have the time or motivation to make it to the gym 3X per week. Instead of chastising them, he presented them with something they could do; a place to start. These small, tangible exercises in his 5 minute kitchen workout can help retain muscle mass, which diminishes greatly beyond the age of 30. Something IS better than nothing! Try it for yourselves here
Our Team
We have a new team member, meet Joe!
Originally from the Midwest, Joe spent many years as a massage therapist in Hong Kong. He brings over 15 years of experience with him. While Sophia and I both utilize many deep tissue modalities, Joe specializes in Active Isolated Stretching and correcting postural imbalances through stability, mobility and retraining. He may ask you to bring yoga pants as many of his techniques are done clothed. As always, it’s a conversation between you and your massage specialist. Together we decide on the best treatment plan for your needs on any given day. If you need to go to that twilight place, Joe is happy to work with you passively on the table as well. We’re branching out to offer you more treatment options. If you’d like to schedule a massage with Joe, he’s available Wednesdays 4-10pm and Thursdays 10am-4pm.
Calling All Taniya Fans!
Taniya could really use our help. She’s starting out in a new town and your reviews can help her gain credibility and allow her to attract clients like you! You’ve worked with Taniya; it doesn’t matter much that you haven’t seen her upstate. Please feel free to mention that you saw her here at Synergy. You can share your experience on her Yelp page here.

Thank you! It’s never easy starting from scratch and I hope we’ll be able to build up some momentum for her.
We love to hear from you! Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions, requests, thoughts, suggestions, complaints... we want it all!

We look forward to seeing you again soon and keeping you feeling your best throughout 2019!

Be well,

Pam and your Synergy Massage Specialists
