Hi <<First Name>>,

Happy Spring! (Almost)

Central Park has begun its bloom; say goodbye to cabin fever!
This is the time for rejuvenation! Myofascial release (MFR) is a great way to clear out the inner cobwebs, AKA fascial adhesions. Sophia, Pam and Abby all utilize this technique. Ask us about MFR at your next visit, if you’d like to learn more. Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is Joe’s specialty to un-adhere fascia through movement. Let us help you feel better this spring!

Please note: Sophia and I are booking up about a month in advance these days. If you need treatment, be sure to book ahead or visit our online schedule to see if our newer team members are available. If you prefer to see Pam or Sophia, drop us a line at to be added to our waiting list and we will keep you posted of any cancellations that arise.
Abby? Who’s Abby you ask... good, you were paying attention:) Abby is our newest team member!
Abby has over 15 years of experience as a Massage Therapist and we’re thrilled to welcome her to our team! She’s available Tuesdays 10am-3pm and Wednesdays 12pm-6pm. She’s also a registered yoga teacher and will be sharing her talents with us. Yay, more yoga!

Abby will be teaching a weekly, 60 minute Vinyasa Yoga class at our studio on Wednesday nights at 7pm!

To ensure beginners get the attention they need, she will offer a beginners/slow flow class one week, followed by a regular flow class the next week and so on.

April 17th starts us off with Beginners/Gentle-Flow Yoga: This class will teach new yogis poses, transitions and modifications for any restrictions they may have for a safe and satisfying practice. A great place to start if you are new to yoga or have limitations in range of motion or flexibility and need more TLC than a typical class offers.

The following week: April 24th will be an Open Level Vinyasa Flow Class. All are welcome!
  • Classes are BYOM (bring your own mat), $20 cash or $25 credit card. If interested, please register with us via email: and include the class date preferred.
  • Space is limited, which ensures more focused attention for each student.
  • Cancellation policy: please provide 24 hours notice if you need to cancel to avoid being charged for the missed class.
  • Class minimum is 4 students. If we don’t have the number of students necessary, we will cancel class the day before by 8pm.

To learn more about Abby, check out her bio on our website.
April's Event: Pam's Self-Care Class
April’s event is Pam’s self-care class for the low back and lower body. Come explore a myriad of self care tools and learn how to strengthen and stretch to keep you feeling your best! The class is $40 and will be held on April 20th from 7pm-9pm at our Synergy Massage studio. Please email Pam to register:
Client Spotlight: Meet Jen Jaffe!
Here she is pictured in the Brooklyn Herborium’s back room, where all of their natural products are created. Both an artist and a model; Jen has been taking great care of her skin for years and wanted to help others look and feel their best. She became a licensed esthetician and provides a nourishing, relaxing experience at the Brooklyn Herborium, using their wonderful products.

Jen shares our philosophy of educating her clients. We recently traded services and she shared all kinds of tips, including how to make DIY skin care better. Let’s FACE it (pun intended), not all of us have unlimited resources and it’s good to have a few options that you can make yourself. I really enjoyed my facial at the adorable and earthy Prospect Ave location. The treatment was amazing, my skin felt restored and the sound bath was a fun and interesting addition. Jen did a great job of making me feel comfortable and even lessened my guilt over my lack of face care over the years. She gave me practical solutions and advice to help get me back on track. I walked away dewy and glowing. I highly recommend Jen to anyone interested in experiencing a great facial with safe and yummy smelling products. You can schedule a facial and/or purchase products online here:

Another of our Synergy clients has found a great trick to encourage her to sleep on her back. Kettia M. invested in an expensive night cream to incentivize her to remain on her back and keep her face from touching the pillow. Way to be creative, Kettia! If you are a stomach sleeper, try out her tip to transition out of that “bad for your neck and back” sleep position. Your body and face will thank you!
Wishing you all a Happy Spring and Happy April Holidays!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Be well,

Pam and the Synergy Massage Team
