We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We have so much to be thankful for and are looking forward to showing our gratitude in goodies this holiday season! Come on in for a massage this December to receive your holiday treats and Synergy swag gift.

This month our special event is yoga with Joelle on December 29th from 7pm-8:15pm. Joelle teaches a regular candlelight yoga class at Naam just one block over and she’s agreed to share her talents with us! Class is $20, BYOM (mat). Email us to reserve your spot, space is limited.
Farewell, but never Goodbye...
It saddens us to have to say farewell to so many fabulous clients this month :(

Wishing Drew & Donna D., Ben & Jackie P., Amber & Scott V., Jim H., and Lucas G. all the best as they head out of the city and move to calmer places. May your days always be sunny! We will miss you and hope you come back to visit often!

We also say farewell to our talented LMT, Taniya this month. It’s been great to have her on our team and we will miss her terribly. We wish her all the best on her move upstate to pursue her private practice. Schedule your massage with Taniya before 12/20/18 to say goodbye and discuss which of our team is best suited for your continued care.
Health & Wellness Tidbit
Colder days ahead! Please be sure to bundle up and stay warm. Remember, it’s not only a myth that going from hot to cold makes you sick, it’s the exact opposite! The Fins have outdoor saunas to heat them up, then cool off by jumping in the snow.  Spas have cold dips next to hot tubs. Athletes are advised to alternate between hot and cold water in the shower for muscle recovery. These are all forms of contrast bathing, which are great for bodies! Going from hot to cold increases circulation and brings valuable nutrients to areas in need of repair. But these are short stints in the cold followed by intense heat. What makes you sick is going out in the elements without proper coverage; the longer you’re out in the cold the more your immune system is challenged and weakened. When your defenses are down your body cannot fight off the viruses prevalent during cold and flu season. Hats and scarves are your friends!‍ Hats keep your internal heat from escaping out of the top of your head and scarves keep wind from attacking the back of your neck. Not to mention, they make you look extra cozy and huggable, who doesn’t want that? Stay warm out there!
