Hi <<First Name>>,

We hope you had a wonderful Summer and were able to enjoy some time to relax. While I'm never a fan of losing the longer days, I adore Fall!

Since childhood, the Fall has meant new classes, new friends and new things to learn. Even though most of us have been out of school for some time, it always seems that this time of year is the perfect time to start a new project or take on a new challenge. We already have the momentum built into our annual rhythm.

While our focus at PCM is massage therapy, we approach our work and lives from a holistic view and like to share anything relevant to keep you feeling your best!

Controlling stress and anxiety is always a challenge in NYC. If we could all have massages everyday, we would! If you seek help with other ways of reducing stress, there is a great app called 'insight timer' to help! It's free! There are many guided meditations to choose from of varying lengths. I personally use a few favorites to get out of my head before sleep. 
Did you know that breaking up your routine keeps your brain healthy? 
Don't wait until New Year's Day to be a better you! Most resolutions fail because we don't practice will power at any other time of the year and then attempt to take on some huge challenge for the new year. Start with small changes to build up your confidence and strengthen your will. Practice makes perfect!

What will you take on this Fall? 
Myself, I plan to finish my certification as a personal trainer and take another 12 hour course in neuromuscular therapy; I'm a big fan of this modality and can't wait to learn more and share my discoveries with you! I'm also challenging my beliefs about what makes up a healthy diet and have started Tim Ferris' 'Four Hour Body' experiment. I'm very much against diets, as I've seen too many loved ones yo yo with their weight and health. However, I do believe in healthy life changes and am exploring the fundamentals of this way of eating to see how it makes me feel. So far I've learned 30 grams of protein in the morning provides more energy than oatmeal for breakfast. Poor, poor oatmeal, I still love you!

Sophia is already preparing for the holidays with 2 new knitting and crochet projects: a mermaid tail blanket and a minion doll (from despicable me)! Her schedule books up earlier and earlier these days. Plan ahead to schedule your massage whenever possible. She's available Monday morning/afternoon, Wednesday afternoon/night, Friday afternoon/evening and Saturday morning/afternoon.
PCM welcomes our newest and possibly most enthusiastic team member, Taniya!

She's a personal trainer as well and will provide valuable self care/exercise advise following your massage. Taniya's available Thursday morning/afternoon, Saturday night and Sunday morning. Taniya had a great time massaging the tennis players this year at the US Open and is looking forward to taking good care of you!
