Scriptures for Worship Sundays at 10:30 a.m.
Scriptures for Sunday, December 15 will be: Luke 1:47-55, Isaiah 49:1-7
Scriptures for Sunday, December 22 will be: John 3:16-17, Isaiah 7:10-16
Bible Study is on Tuesday, December 17 at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome!
To prepare for Bible Study please read : John chapter 9 (all) and chapter 10 through verse 21
Questions to consider as you prepare for Bible Study: How does the central metaphor of the healing of the man born blind relate to Jesus's teaching in chapter 8? How might the events in this story relate to the tensions in the church at the end of the first century?
Reminder: There will be no Bible Study on December 24th and December 31st.

MANY, MANY THANKS to everyone who participated in the Christmas Pot Luck/Secret Santa exchange this past Sunday!!
From the set up crew to the great cooks who brought in yummy food, to those who helped clean up after dinner, we extend a huge thank you for all that you’ve done. And, Wow, everyone kept Santa a secret! Impressive! The secret gift exchange was a success!

HOMELESS STAND DOWN
Once again BCUCC is taking a collection of gently used WINTER CLOTHING for men and women
Throughout the month of December, ending January 5th.
This includes coats, socks, hats, gloves, scarves, boots, sweat shirts.

Please remember the homeless when you clean out your winter closet.
A collection box is in the gathering area.

SERVICE OF SOLACE
Wednesday, December 18th 7 pm Federated Church, 76 Bell St., Chagrin Falls - Chapel
Also sometimes called “Blue Christmas” or “Longest Night,” the Service of Solace is a service that offers support, prayer and reflection for those experiencing loss, sorrow, pain, or anything making the holidays difficult. This is a service of comfort and hope through prayer, reflection and special music. Everyone is welcome to attend this service, those who are in need and those willing to offer support and compassion.
The indoor Labyrinth will be set up in Fellowship Hall that day starting at noon for meditative walking, prayer and reflection. After the service, there will be a time for fellowship and support with light refreshments.
