Dear Friends and Family of Bainbridge Community UCC,

As we enter this time of Thanksgiving I wanted to take a moment, on behave of myself and the church leadership, to thank each and every one of you for the time, talent and treasure you have invested in Bainbridge Community UCC (BCUCC). As I approach my one year anniversary of being called to BCUCC I stand in awe of the amazing people I have had the privilege of working with and serving. I knew BCUCC was a unique faith community for Bainbridge. What has surprised me again and again is how committed each and every person is to this community as a whole and to each other.

We have done so much in this first year, and never have we had to cancel an event due to lack of support from the congregation. We had THREE different All Church Clean-ups.  Even when I couldn’t make one of them we still had the numbers to ultimately turn two storage rooms into usable space and move all the storage items out of the nursery. We now have all Children’s Sunday School material in the Wonder and Worship room so our Sunday School volunteers don’t have to leave the room to get something. (This is not only more convenient, it is also safer for our children.) We have hosted a Social Service Expo that required volunteers, and we had everyone we needed and more.

However, the dedication of our congregation isn’t just in the special events.  The day to day running of the organization shows what an amazing cloud of witnesses we have. From people stepping up to fill the voids left from previously paid positions, to the people who serve on the various committees that make the church run, I cannot thank you enough for the time and dedication you have shown. Things have fumbled, things have broken, but never have the people who call BCUCC their church failed to address the issues and fix what needs fixing.

We have an amazing group of people here and I am honored to be your pastor. Thank you for your patience, your dedication and your trust. We have even more planned for this coming year and I know BCUCC will continue to be a place where everyone is invested in the bright future God is calling us too.

Thank you for being you,
Pastor Brian Saxe
