Pick up Congregational Packets

We will be taking down  Christmas Decorations after church this Sunday. If you are able to help out it will be greatly appreciated and rewarded with pizza afterwards. Ummm!

Sunday, February 2, 2020 is the date for the
Semi-annual Congregational Meeting,

in the social hall after the service.
Congregational packets will be available for pick-up Sunday, January 19th.

February 22nd from 10am - noon
Visitation Training Workshop

From December 1st to January 5th we collected enough food to fill 6 medium boxes, 1 larger one, and 8 plastic grocery bags. Geauga County Veteran Food Pantry members came on Tuesday to picked it up. Director Lynn Algeri specifically mentioned how great it was to get a large donation in January and also that if any veterans in the congregation or anyone who knows of a veteran in need should contact Veterans Services (440) 279-1860 to get the help.
Also through the Christmas season we gathered 14 large trash bags full of Winter Clothes for The Greater Cleveland Homeless Stand Down. This Saturday is the actual event where homeless folks from around the area will gather to receive winter clothing, haircuts, medical screenings, breakfast, lunch, and more. If you would like to volunteer for the event go to or call (216) 432-9390.

Thank you to everyone who helped plan and also donated to these great causes!

I am also pleased to let everyone know we will have an Intern working at the Church for the Spring Semester. Jessica McKendry is an English Major from Kent State Geauga and will be helping with Marketing, Grant Writing, Social Media, and Events. She will be in worship soon for everyone to meet her.
Blessings, Pastor Brian

CHOIR PRACTICE at 9:30 a.m. before Sunday Service.

All are welcome to share God's gift of music!

Have you felt God's call to visit with home bound and sick folk, but don't feel fully prepared? We will be hosting a Visitation Training Workshop on February 22nd from 10am - noon. The instructor for the workshop will be Rev. Tyler Delaney. Tyler is an ordained Disciples of Christ Minister and has worked as a chaplain in the Cleveland Clinic system since his ordination in 2008. He will help folks feel empowered to carry out this vital mission of care and compassion. Please let Pastor Brian know if you plan on attending. Attendance is NOT a commitment, so if you are curious but unsure please attend to hear what visitation is all about to aid in your discernment.

We received a call from Linda, daughter of Muriel Lampert. Muriel had some physical challenges over the holidays and was in the hospital for a short time. She is now recovering at The Avenue at Aurora, room 125  until she can be returned to Brooks House.
Linda tells us Muriel is feeling down and could use some calls or visits from her friends at BCUCC.
