DECEMBER 2018

Congratulations to the 2018 AONE Award Recipients!

Each year, the Hawai‘i Chapter of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE) recognizes local nurses for their leadership contributions to the nursing workforce.  This year the "Nurse Advocate" award was introduced.  This award recognizes a non-nurse for outstanding demonstration of advocacy and the promotion of nursing in the community through interprofessional health care teams, health care administration, or through policy change.  The Hawai‘i State Center for Nursing would like to send a huge congratulations to this year's awardees!

  • Duane D. Walker Award - Brigitte McKale, BSN, MSN, DNP
  • Nurse Mentor Award - Deborah Bransford, BSN, CDE
  • Emerging Leader - Toni Kalauli, RN
