ECHO is an innovative form of distance learning that starts off with a brief presentation, followed by a deidentified case presentation by a participant. The goal is to create a community of learning where many viewpoints can be shared to improve patient care and the participants can contact each other outside of the sessions. Behavioral Health sessions meet every Tuesday from 12-1 and Geriatrics sessions meet second third Wednesday from 4-5pm. Find out more at: echohawaii.org

This makes nurses well positioned to be intermediaries of community health, though challenges still exist. Do you agree?
