Q. Does any historical diagnosis of cirrhosis (even if current testing shows fibrosis without cirrhosis) exclude a participant from REPRIEVE?
  • If current testing shows fibrosis without cirrhosis, we ask the research sites and site investigators to use their clinical judgment
  • If the research site/site investigator decides that a participant no longer has cirrhosis and therefore is eligible for the study, we ask the site PI to note this in the source documentation

Take Action to Raise Awareness About HIV and Heart Health
Heart Month is an excellent time to spread the word about the importance of REPRIEVE to prevent heart disease among people living with HIV

Below are some ideas to raise awareness about HIV and Heart Health during February:
  • Organize an informational table in your clinic or community.
    • Click here to read an example from the MGH ACTG CRS.
  • Organize an HIV and Heart Health presentation for patients at your clinic or provide a presentation at an HIV service organization near you.
  • Contact your local media or work with your press offic and ask if they might be interested in writing an article about HIV and heart disease.
The REPRIEVE Clinical Coordinating Center has slide presentations, media pitches, and many other resources you might find helpful to promote REPRIEVE during Heart Month; email Laura Sanchez, REPRIEVE Coordinator, to see how we may be of assistance to you and your team.
